The responsibilities for this role include; creating clean, lightweight backend code, working alongside an experienced team of developers and production professionals, creating and refining bespoke software applications and troubleshooting technical issues. 

To be successful, you should have strong experience in building and working with cloud software. You will need at least two years experience working with Python and Django.

You will work alongside an experienced design and build team to ensure our systems are built perfectly and are up and running to meet client requirements.

Responsibilities

  • To support your team in identifying system requirements for web applications.
  • Writing and reviewing code for a variety of custom web applications.
  • Running functionality testing and debugging code.
  • Managing CI/CD and adhering to strict version control processes.
  • Ensuring software documentation is concise and up-to-date.
  • Collaborating with frontend developers to build mobile-responsive software.
  • Communicating with internal team members, clients and third parties at a technical level if needed.

What we need from you…

  • Strong knowledge of Python / Django
  • Examples of data engineering 
  • A minimum of two years experience as a Python Developer
  • Experience integrating with ReactJS essential
  • A keen eye for detail is essential
  • Knowledge of core HTML/CSS 
  • Knowledge of AWS as a minimum
  • Understanding of security best practices 
  • Able to work alongside and support external development teams 
  • Familiarity with network diagnostics tools
  • An outside of work interest in emerging technologies
  • Good verbal and written communication skills with solid technical writing abilities
